We're underway...
Hi everyone, welcome to the first semi-final of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations. It's Burkina Faso vs former champions Egypt! I am Ernest Makhaya, and I will be guiding you through every action tonight.
Let's take a look at how both teams have lined up for tonight, starting with Burkina Faso...
Egypt starting XI: El Hadary, Mosaad, Eissa, Hegazy, Fathi, Salah, Ghaly, Soliman, Bekhit, Hassan and El Said.
The two teams are already on the pitch for the singing of National Anthems!
This is the eighth meeting between Burkina Faso and Egypt. The Pharaohs have won four of the past seven matches against Burkina Faso, while three matches were drawn, but this will be a different ball game.
It hasn't been a game filled with clear-cut chances, both teams had decent goalscoring opportunities in the first half even though they had to test the two keepers from outside the box most of the time.
Experience will be key on both sides. Everyone is expecting Egypt to easily win, but Burkina Faso have done well to close down Salah, who is Egypt's playmaker and dangerman.
I don't expect any of the two coaches to make changes at the start of the second half. This is to allow the game to flow without upsetting the momentum.
The two teams are making their out onto the pitch. This means we're moments away from the start of the second half.
END OF 90 MINUTES!!! We have come to the end of 90 minutes. It's Burkina Faso 1-1 Egypt! Extra time it is.
HALF-TIME!! That's it, we've come to the end of the first half of extra time. Now for the final 15 minutes...
Both sides of players are down and refreshing as all 11 from either side get ready for a penalty shoot-out.
We'll see who take the spot-kicks after the two captains had decided on what's going to happen from here.
