J. Livermore enters the game and replaces D. Alli.
A final change for England sees Livermore replace Alli.
90' +2
Superb play from Alli, who pokes the ball into Sterling with a brilliant flick. The Manchester City winger drives at goal, but his cut-back - aimed for Kane - intercepted by Skrtel.
90' +1
We’re into three minutes of stoppage time…
89'
Sterling almost capitalises on a loose ball to get in behind Slovakia’s defence, but his poor first touch takes the ball back into Durica’s path.
87'
England are looking supremely comfortable now, and have put in a much-improved display since they levelled proceedings through Dier’s header prior to the interval. As it stands, they are cruising to within touching distance of next year’s World Cup…
84'
D. Welbeck enters the game and replaces M. Rashford.
A second England change follows, with Welbeck replacing Rashford.
83'
R. Sterling enters the game and replaces A. Oxlade-Chamberlain.
Here is that change. Off goes Oxlade-Chamberlain, with Sterling on in his place.
81'
Slovakia threaten to counter, but Jones is quick to get across and snuff out the danger, as Southgate prepares to make a substitution...
79'
O. Duda enters the game and replaces M. Hamšík.
A third and final Slovakian change sees star man Hamsik make way for Duda.
76'
Alli displays a great touch to nudge the ball around Skrtel, but the experienced defender simply stands his ground, not allowing Alli a way past.
Minute
Description
73'
E. Dier gets yellow.
Dier becomes the first England player to go into the referee’s book.
70'
M. Škriniar gets yellow.
Skriniar is booked for a foul on Rashford. The England goalscorer goes for goal from the resulting free-kick, but his effort sails wide.
69'
M. Ďuriš enters the game and replaces A. Nemec.
Another change for Slovakia sees Nemec - who has led the line admirably - replaced by Duris.
68'
A. Rusnák enters the game and replaces V. Weiss.
A glut of changes now, the first of which sees Weiss make way for Rusnak.
67'
Rashford wants a free-kick after feeling he was dragged down by Skriniar, but the referee is having none of it. The pressure on the ball is much more positive now from England, though, and Slovakia are well on the back foot.
64'
CHANCE! Scrappy England defending from a Slovakia set-piece sees the ball fall to Hubocan in the centre of the area, but the left-back can’t make a solid connection with his strike, which bounces down into the turf before sailing over.
62'
A long pass from Dier almost plays Rashford in. Skrtel gets there first, but his header merely tees up Alli, though England’s No.10 can’t keep his effort on target.
59'
M. Rashford has scored a goal for England! Assist by J. Henderson.
GOOOOOAAAAALLLL!! WHAT A HIT FROM RASHFORD! Fingers were pointed at the youngster for his part in Slovakia’s goal, but he has well and truly made up for that error with a wonderful effort to put England into the lead. The Manchester United forward found space on the edge of Slovakia’s area, and showed no hesitation in sweeping a brilliant strike into the bottom-left corner.
Henderson will be credited with the assist for that goal, but that was purely down to Rashford’s skill and technique. The 19-year-old has grown into this game, and finally got his rewards.
58'
CLOSE! Kane hammers a cross-cum-shot straight at Dubravka, who an only force the ball into Alli’s direction. The midfielder’s first touch lets him down though, and the ball trickles out of play.
56'
CHANCE! That’s a fine save from Hart, who reacts sharply to keep out Nemec’s close-range volley, which came at the culmination of a swift Slovakian counter-attack, showing the danger that the opposition possess on the break.
54'
Rashford - who has looked much more comfortable on the left than the right - again finds space, utilising his pace to get to the byline and drill a cross into the six yard box. No England teammate had gambled on making a run to the near post, however, and Dubravka hangs on. Moments later, Alli threads a pass into Oxlade-Chamberlain, who tests Slovakia’s goalkeeper with a powerful effort.
52'
If things stay as they stand in all of the Group F games, England would still have a two point advantage at the top. However, both Scotland and Slovenia - who are winning in their respective games - would move to within four points of the Three Lions as well.
50'
STAT - England haven’t lost a home international in the month of September since September 1991 under Graham Taylor, losing 1-0 to Germany in a friendly at Wembley; they are unbeaten in 19 games since (W16 D3).
47'
CLOSE! A bright start from England, as Alli and Rashford carry on where they left off in the first half with some neat combination play. The latter’s blocked effort rebounds out to Henderson 20 yards out, but the captain’s strike whistles wide.
46'
Welcome back! England have got the second half up and running!
45' +1
There will be one minute of added time at the end of the first half…
That's a vital challenge from Walker, who recovers just in time to prevent Weiss getting through on goal. The replays suggest it may have been a foul, but the Manchester City defender gets away with it.
44'
ALMOST! England have finally found their groove, and a long-range strike from Rashford very nearly catches Dubravka out, with the shot-stopper having to scamper to his right to tip the ball wide.
42'
CLOSE! Fresh from getting his first international goal on Friday, Bertrand tries his luck with a rasping drive from 20 yards out. It forces Dubravka into a save, though Slovakia’s goalkeeper can only parry the ball up into the air. Kane is underneath it, but can’t direct his header at goal.
40'
It can’t really be said that England deserved that goal, as they have - in truth - created very little, though in the last 10 minutes or so the hosts have been far more composed when in possession.
37'
E. Dier has scored a goal for England! Assist by M. Rashford.
Out of nothing, England are back on level terms, and Rashford - at fault for Slovakia’s opener - has atoned for his earlier mistake.
GOOOOAAAALLLL!!! DIER EQUALISES! Rashford whips in a low corner, and the Tottenham man is there to turn in his third England goal with a cute half-volley.
36'
Neat play from England in the final third, as Rashford’s pass finds Kane. A defender gets a foot in and, though Kane looks for a moment as if he will go down, stays on his feet, with his following shot deflecting out.
33'
WIDE! All does well to win back possession in Slovakia’s half, proceeding to feed the ball into Rashford, but his strike is well off target.
31'
A corner in from Rashford finds his Manchester United teammate Jones, who gets his attempted bicycle kick horribly wrong, and Slovakia clear their lines with ease.
29'
England just can’t maintain any possession at the moment, and Slovakia are content to sit back and keep their shape, with the hosts having come up with little innovation to create a chance of yet.
26'
A long, hopeful punt from Henderson finds All, but the Tottenham man can’t connect properly with his header and the chance goes begging.
24'
Slovakia enjoy a sustained spell of possession, and only a sloppy error from Weiss sees the visitors lose the ball. England have been second best by far, and Southgate’s tactics are simply not working as it stands…
22'
Oxlade-Chamberlain does brilliantly to lose his marker and drive at Slovakia’s recreating defence but, just as it looked as the space was opening up in front of him, the Liverpool midfielder thumps his effort well over the crossbar.
20'
England have won their last 12 competitive matches at Wembley, a run that stretches back to October 2012 – it is their longest winning run in competitive matches at Wembley.
18'
Better play from England, as Henderson’s throughball releases Rashford down the right. Rashford’s cross finds Alli, whose strike takes a deflection. The resulting corner, though, comes to nothing.
15'
A lucky bounce gives England their first real opportunity of the game, as Kane picks up possession on the edge of Slovakia’s area. The Tottenham striker uses Oxlade-Chamberlain’s run as a distraction, going for goal himself, only for his strike to be deflected wide.
13'
Southgate’s persistence with two sitting midfielders seems to be hampering England’s progress upfield, with neither Dier or Henderson displaying the drive needed to push England up the pitch, and Slovakia are not being troubled at all.
11'
England’s last game against Slovakia was Sam Allardyce’s only match in charge of the national side. Adam Lallana netted a 90th minute winner in a 1-0 win in Trnava.
9'
England simply aren’t applying enough pressure when Slovakia are in possession, and that is allowing the visitors’ more clinical and skilful players - such as Hamsik and Weiss - to pick up space in the final third. It has been a lethargic start from Southgate’s men, who need to click into gear swiftly…
7'
Lobotka’s strike is Slovakia’s first ever goal at Wembley, and the first goal they have scored against England since June 2003, in a 2-1 defeat during qualification for Euro 2004.
5'
That is the first goal England have conceded at home in this qualification campaign and, as it stands, it has put Slovakia top of the group. There’s a long way to go in this one, of course, and as I type Rashford attempts to atone for his error with a shot from range, but Novota is equal to it.
3'
S. Lobotka has scored a goal for Slovakia! Assist by A. Nemec.
England haven’t lost a home World Cup qualifier since their last match at the old Wembley, when they lost 1-0 to Germany in October 2000. Since then, they’ve won 19 and drawn two. Another victory tonight would leave them within one point of securing qualification for next year’s World Cup.
GOOOOOAAAALLLLLL!!! SLOVAKIA LEAD! What a terrible start for England! Rashford concedes the ball deep in the hosts’ half, and - after some neat combination play with Nemec - Lobotka drives into the area to prod home past Hart.
It was clever play from Nemec, who dinked a perfectly-weighted pass into Lobotka's path, and the winger made no mistake with a composed finish.

KICK-OFF! In front of a Wembley crowd well below capacity, it is Slovakia who get us underway in this qualifier.
Hello and welcome, football fans, to LIVE coverage of this 2018 World Cup qualifier between England and Slovakia. Stick right here for all the action as it happens from Wembley!
Group F leaders England sit two points clear of second place Slovakia, and Gareth Southgate’s side should be confident of extending that gap to five points this evening. The Three Lions were far from at their best against Malta last time out, but still managed a comfortable, albeit laboured, 4-0 victory.
Harry Kane’s brace - combined with late strikes from Ryan Bertrand and Danny Welbeck - were enough to see off Malta, but England will face a much tougher test against a sterner opposition in the form of Slovakia, who have won their last five qualifiers in Group F.
The team news is in from Wembley. We’ll start off with the home side…
Just the two changes then from Southgate, who takes out Raheem Sterling and Jake Livermore. Marcus Rashford and Eric Dier are their respective replacements in England’s now typical 4-2-3-1 system.
Likewise, there are only two alterations from Slovakia boss Jan Kozak, compared to the side that beat Slovenia 1-0 in their last outing. Norbert Gyomber and AC Milan midfielder Juraj Kucka drop out, with Jan Durica and former Liverpool man Martin Skrtel coming in.
The teams are out on the pitch, as we await the national anthems...
Given both of these sides have set up with very similar systems, it will be interesting to see how England - who are likely to enjoy the lion’s share of possession - attempt to break down their visitors. The hosts have plenty of pace on the flanks with the likes of Marcus Rashford and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, and that seems an area Southgate will want to target.
As for Slovakia, their hopes surely rest on the shoulders of the imperious Marek Hamsik, making his 99th cap tonight. Should the Napoli playmaker find space in between England’s defensive lines, the visitors may well be able to claim a surprise result.
HALF TIME: England 1 Slovakia 1
A frustrating half for England, who have had to come from a goal behind to go into the interval on level terms. Lobotka’s third-minute effort put Slovakia ahead, but Dier’s header restored parity.
It has been another unconvincing display from England so far, and Southgate’s side must step it up in the second half if they are to claim all three points.
So, a win for England in what was a testing fixture against Slovakia, with efforts from Eric Dier and Marcus Rashford proving enough to see off the visitors and move Gareth Southgate’s side five points clear at the top of Group F.
FULL TIME: England 2 Slovakia 1
Well, that’s all from me for now. Until next time, thank you and goodbye!
England are now within one point of securing World Cup qualification, while Slovakia are now deep in competition with Scotland and Slovenia to secure the runners’ up spot.
