We're underway at Old Trafford.
Good evening and welcome to the live commentary of the FA Cup third round replay clash between Manchester United and Wolves at Old Trafford.
United bounced back to form at the weekend, ending a three-match winless run with an emphatic 4-0 victory over Norwich City. Marcus Rashford scored twice, while Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood also got on the scoresheet. The Red Devils have been inconsistent throughout the term and will need to channel their best to see off Wolves this evening to advance the fourth round of the FA Cup after both teams drew a blank at Molineux.
MANCHESTER UNITED (4-2-3-1): Sergio Romero; Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire, Brandon Williams; Fred, Nemanja Matic; Mason Greenwood, Juan Mata, Daniel James; Anthony Martial.
MANCHESTER UNITED SUBS: Phil Jones, Marcus Rashford, Lee Grant, Jesse Lingard, Andreas Pereira, Diogo Dalot, Tahith Chong.
WOLVES (3-4-3): John Ruddy; Leander Dendoncker, Conor Coady, Romain Saiss; Matt Doherty, Joao Moutinho, Ruben Neves, Jonny; Adama Traore, Pedro Neto, Raul Jimenez.
WOLVES SUBS: Ryan Bennett, Rui Patricio, Morgan Gibbs-White, Ruben Vinagre, Maximilian Kilman, Benny Ashley-Seal, Oskar Buur.
Wolves enter the contest on a four-match winless run, including their draw against Newcastle United at the weekend. Nuno Espirito Santo's men went behind to a strike from Miguel Almiron, but responded through Leander Dendoncker. However, they were unable to get the winner, which has left them marginally off the pace of fifth place in the Premier League. Nuno will still have ambitions in the cup and a victory could provide a jolt to break Wolves out of their slump.
United have been inconsistent once again in front of their own fans. They've had a couple of moments when James has broken behind the Wolves defence, but other than that they've been a tad underwhelming in the final third. Nuno Santo's men have looked fairly solid and a threat through their wingers, while Jimenez has not been firing on all cylinders in the box. It might take a moment of inspiration to break the deadlock tonight.
Thanks for joining our commentary this evening. Until next time, goodbye.
Manchester United are next in action in the Premier League on Sunday away to Liverpool at Anfield, while Wolves are also on the road at Southampton on Saturday.
